Her head drooped forward and a large hat shaded her face. When he returned from school next day he opened the door upon a strange woman sitting in the big arm-chair. The following evening Anna lay sound asleep on the lounge of silken pillows while Ralph sat digging at school work which had piled the higher from his previous night's neglect.
